this doesn't have much (anything) to do with the above post (although i've enjoyed 'cul de sac' immensely), but i've notice that i'm about the only non-Christian on your blogroll. for some reason this makes me quite proud, although i admit i've only flipped (correct verb?) through most of the blogs and my judgements aren't taking the full depth of the writer's spiritual life into account. really i'm just pleased that two differing views can still manage to get along (mostly), fills me hope.
Blogger was pretty screwed up this past week, and continues to be. Publishing has been kaput (except for one brief window of FTP operation last night) and comments not coming through.
'Quare id faciam' is a bit I snagged, without much thought, from 2 lines of verse likely known to anyone who's had a little Latin in school. I borrowed it years ago, looking for a username no one else would want. And it grew on me. Taken out of its context, it's altered: the tense blurs & its sense may allow, Why will I do it, or, Why will I make it? suggestive and intertwining questions, as I take them.
